The Altenheim is a complete renovation and upgrade of an historic, 131,000 sq ft, 175-unit, affordable senior housing development located in the Oakland Hills. The project involves seismic and interior renovation of the original wood-frame buildings and dining hall including all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. BMC completed a complete renovation of the existing plumbing for the facility including bathrooms, kitchen space and the re-routing of all underground piping. As part of the renovation BMC provided complete installations of the Sanitary Waste and Vent, Storm, Domestic Cold Water, High Pressure Cold Water, and Hot Water Supply and Return plumbing systems.
