Ohlone College – Smith Center Chiller Plant Upgrade

The Gary Soren Smith Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (Smith Center) is home to the Ohlone College Fine and Performing Arts programs and serves as a cultural center for southern Alameda and northern Santa Clara counties. The Smith Center houses the G. Craig Jackson main stage theater, the NUMMI studio theater, the Louie-Meager Art Gallery, an outdoor amphitheater, a dance studio, television studios, and a radio station. BMC was contracted to update the chiller plant for the Smith Center to provide for a more efficient heating and cooling system for the building. BMC provided a complete replacement of the plant and installed new chillers, cooling towers and pumps and re-piped all lines as part of the new upgraded system.
