The East Oakland Sports Center is a two-story, 22,500 square foot community athletic complex that includes an aquatics center, fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, media center, locker rooms, bathrooms and space for community gatherings. BMC provided installation of the HVAC system which includes a dehumidifier used to cool the natatorium, radiant heating in the locker rooms, oversized ceiling fans and packaged A/C units for the fitness center and dance studio. BMC provided complete installations of the Sanitary Waste and Vent, Storm, Domestic Cold Water, High Pressure Cold Water, and Hot Water Supply and Return plumbing systems. The structure is pursuing LEED® Silver certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
